Clear amber to dark orange beer, big creamy off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, some citrus, spicy, some coriander, grapefruit touch. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter start, orange peel, some citrus, fruity notes, pretty spicy. Aftertaste: very hoppy, bit grassy, bit malty, fruity touch, very bitter, little spicy, some yeast, caramel touch.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus, thanks! Murky dark orangy color, rough off-white head with large bubbles. Pretty ugly. Aroma is yeasty, some maltiness and unripe peach. Taste lightly malts, banana, yeasty, sweetish. Kind of reminds me of a hefeweizen. Weird. Ok beer but I wouldn't buy it again.

Bottle @ benzai. Murky orange to amber colour with a chunky white head. Smells yeasty, biscuity, sweet, hops. Tastes sweet, fruity, banana, wheat. Medium body, nice carbo.

From tap at the brewery. Light hazy orange color with white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, light caramel, citrus, heavy orange, grass. Sweet and bitter taste. Light to medium thin body with soft carbonation.

F: medium size, tan, not long lasting. C: amber with red hue, hazy. A: malty, tropical fruits, bit peppery, fruity, floral. T: malty, fruity, peppery, tropical fruits, caramel, but red fruits, papaya, bit yeast, not bad, good balanced and tasty, Belgian ale with American accent not typical, medium to full body, medium carbonation, 33cl bottle from the brewery.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 04/2019. Orange sur léger trouble, col fin beige. Arôme offre un nez typique belge sur qcq esters, bananes avec un léger biscuité, rétro finement houblonné noble tout en ayant un effet belge distinct mais plaisant. Palais ester banane, bready, biscuité, malts sur effervescence moyenne voire haute, houblonné noble, finement citronné, fruité presque tropical et un effet levure revenant en fin de bouche.

On tap at BBP. Hazy amber with a medium head. Aroma and taste of marzipan, some fruit and grass. The body was medium as was the bitterness.

Keg at BBP. It pours crazy cloud orange with a thick foamy yellow - white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily orange, tangerine, spicy, cereal, herbal accents, meaty, smoked cheddar and candy. The taste is dry, bitter, spicy, oily orange, tangerine, pithy, boozy, Cointreau, grassy, straw, brioche and tannin with a drying and warming finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit hot and spicy. Not sold on this one.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Abbey Yeast & USA hops. Dark orange amber, lively beer, tanned head. Nose is overripe papaya, mango but also old candy, caramel, messy BE esters. High carbonation. Taste is a mess of caramel, overripe papaya, mango, dark bread, BE esters, fizzy dark bread, ester, almost phenolic bitter in the ned, near floral, overripe fruit, high carbonation gives it a bit empty feel. the BE characteristics aren’t proper, it is bitter but floral, dark bread, overripe papaya bitter,… It is interesting but neither this or that. This reinforces my belief that USA hops & BE yeast almost never go together. Even if the whole manages to work, you are still left feeling that BE yeast wasn’t the best option. This is not a bad beer but it is highly messy, especially body, carbonation etc. department, carbonation is high but quickly vanishes as well, feels a bit empty.
