Bottle, thanks Bazz! Murky brown amber body. Huge hoppy aroma, blackcurrant and floweriness on some brown sugar. Strong flowery/catpiss hoppiness, mild phenolic touch, bit fuller body, but lean enough, ends with mild herbal bitterness. Solid stuff.

Tap @ M-Café, Leuven. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, orange and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 140418

330ml bottle. Amber colour with average to huge, thick, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Caramel and wheat malty as well as piney, minimally citrusy, hoppy aroma, hints of orange, mandarine, a touch of instant lemon tea, beeswax and banana. Taste is dry, moderately bitter slightly piney, minimally citrusy hoppy, wheat and caramel malty basis with minimal residual sweetness, hints of lemon, tangerine.

Belgian blonde in collaboration with a "Père Jérémie" (whoever that may be), bottle from Dranken De Moor in Haasdonk, half a year old. Thick and very moussy, lightly membranous-lacing, egg-white head slowly showing gaps in the middle, over a warm, deep and pure amber coloured beer with coppery tinge, initially clear with tiny specks of (dead) yeast; turns all misty and deeper copper-coloured with sediment. Aroma of stewed onions, melting Camembert cheese, fried tomato peel, lots of clove-like phenols, dried old red apples, unripe apricot, slight banana, dry orange peel, brown soap, black radish, old walnuts, bread crust, vague hints of dried mango, spoiling leek soup, baker's yeast, bitter honey, dandelion, hot olive oil, sulfuric fried egg yolk (yeast autolysis, no doubt) and something rotten (rotting potatoes?). Spritzy, crisp onset, but more due to minerally, sharpish carbonation than to lively fruitiness; still fruity esters are there, with green banana-, unripe peach- and Granny Smith apple-like crispness, restrainedly sweetish with sourish edges - which in turn are again reinforced by the sharp carbonation. Bread crust- and soggy old toast-like malt body with walnutty and soapy edges, dryish with little sweetness, the dryness becoming even more accentuated in the finish by a long, rooty, resinous, spicy hop bitterness coating the root of the tongue, paired with earthy yeastiness which also effectuates a drying, bit powdery effect; retronasal aromas of old dried orange peel, dried field flowers, frying onion rings and some exotic fruit (mango, lychee) but doubtlessly - after six months on a shelf - having lost most of the delicate fruity fragrance I tend to associate with Citra or Mosaic, both of which have apparently been used alongside Cascade and Columbus (and on a side note: kudos once again to BBP for conducting such an openness on their back labels). Rooty, resiny, bitter plant- as well as citrus peel-like hoppiness rules the aftertaste equally strong as the lingering toasty malt bitterishness does. Basically a Wallonian-style 'ambrée' updated with New World hops, so having little to do with the abbey ale tradition we all know and love in Belgium, in spite of the name and label style - and in this particular sample, having lost much of its aesthetic appeal due to age. Should be a lot better fresh (from tap at BBP's premises in Brussels, for instance) but in all, not bad for what is essentially a Belgian IPA. Had way worse from this brewery - but much better as well, especially their collabs with other breweries.

Copper colour with lasting thin head. Aroma and flavour have a solid malt presence enhanced by a little yeastiness. Light fruity esters come through in the finish.

7 3 7 3 15 Bottle shared at Platypus After Tasting. Hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of herbal hops, green weeds, spice, fruity notes and malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

02/01/2017 @home - 33cl bottle from BPP. Amber orange, big white head. Nose is classic tripel but way fresher and less sweet than most. Taste is malts, low spicy yeast, fresh hops.

0.33 l bottle brought by Bazz. Big tasting #2. Murky amber, medium off-white head. Cardboard, spices also, light fruity and toasty. Spicy, dry. Light body, soft carbonation, quite nice finish. Strange but good.
