We took 2019's Huracán Imperial Stout and aged it for five months in six year old Jamaican rum barrels. The rum barrels, which also aged maple syrup in New England before arriving at the brewery, enhance the original Huracán's complex body of dark chocolate, espresso, and dark pit fruit by melding with the sweeter maple and tropical rum to produce an enjoyable after-dinner drink reminiscent of a Florida winter. Serve lightly chilled to enjoy all the complexity of this well-traveled imperial stout.

On tap at the brewery in Cape Coral Inky black in color without much of a head when it gets to the table. Big maple aroma and flavor bits of chocolate roast and dark fruits. Hints of vanilla oak and ethanol round it out. Nice sipper.
