This is a robust American style porter. Brewed with rich chocolate and black patent malts for dark body and deep flavor. Brewed a bit stronger than a traditional porter for a sweeter taste and a bit more punch. Well suited for a cold winter night to warm your body.

Working on cleaning up the backlog of notes I have. Sample enjoyed at the Brewery.

A buddy grabbed a growlette for an afternoon share before I become a Monday thru Friday working stiff.
Here’s the rest.
This was poured into a becher pint glass with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head. Light lacing.
The aroma takes a big roasty/robust maltiness flowing nicely into big deep rich milk and dark chocolate. Vanilla bean clenches some stickiness gripping the robust portions nicely to balance.
The flavor lends a hand to some sticky chocolatey notes with the robust and roasty malts hitting against the vanilla bean nicely. Sticky malty notes with roastiness slides into aftertaste and sticks in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable smooth feel laying down the law of roasty bitterness on my tongue. Feels good as an American porter.
Overall, nice American styled porter that I could come back to. Good aroma and flavor for the most part. Yes, slightly sticky in the feel, but acceptable for the most part.
