Bottle from Bert’s Pours a solid dark brown color with a smallish but long lasting tan head. Huge caramel and milk chocolate aromas with some faint roast, earth, and dark dried fruits. There’s more earth and roast in the flavor than the aroma suggested as well as a bit of tobacco with hints of smoke. Chocolate and caramel are in there as well but not as prominent as in the aroma. Medium to thick body with a light level of carbonation and a silky creamy mouthfeel. Very tasty, but does have a lingering roasted grain bitterness that can get intense at times. I’d love to lay on of these down to see how it develops.
