Bottle from Bert’s Pours a dark brown bordering on black with faint garnet at the edges, tightly bubbled off white head dissipates quickly. Big roasty coffee on the nose with hints of earth and tart fruit. Bold roasted coffee up front and lingering in the finish. Light peppery spicy notes with a hint of sour cherry tart midway through. Oud Bruin? not even close! I’m going to take a wild guess and say this is their Start of the Day coffee brown that got a little lactic. Its not a horrible beer, just not as advertised.
