Horicon National Wildlife Refuge is a vital nesting area for waterfowl, including our own Great Blue Heron. Generously hopped through the boil then dry hopped at the tail end of fermentation for a large bouquet. Our Horicon Session IPA is an explosively hoppy gesture of gratitude.

Tap at Old Fashioned as "Hopsessional" in the summer of 2012. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan. Steady white head. Soapy citrus hop aroma, hint of tropical fruit. Similar flavor. Somewhat herbal and astringent. Clean golden malt body. Well executed, sesssionable but lots of depth and character. Sort of like their pale ale, but more of a grassy hop character. In the amateur hour world of WI breweries, CW continues to make quality stuff. Not unlike an IIPA in boldness, but clean and easy. Great.

On draught at Local Option. The beer pours a slightly hazy amber-gold color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Floral hops and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with a zesty citrus character and notes of herbal hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent session IPA overall.
