This limited, barrel-aged release of Triple Bag is aged in oak whiskey barrels that reveal a kiss of oak, vanilla and bourbon. A mild dry-hopping gives this rugged beer a pleasantly hoppy, fruity aroma.

Bottle (2014 vintage) shared by Steve. Deeply hazy, iced tea-maple syrup, ring of head. rings of lacing. Aroma is caramel, dark fruit, bourbon, all in good balance. Taste is strong caramel, brown sugar, bourbon, hint of dark fruit, apple. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, medium bodied, finish as taste. Held up remarkably well for 12 years!

Sample at the meeting last night, thanks to whoever shared it. Dark brown in color with a thin off white head that doesn't last long. Light caramel maltiness and a lot of oaky vanilla bourbon and ethanol heat. A little thin in body. Nice to try but at 2 years old its still hot.
