Can pour from The Beer Store, Salem. It's a hazy maple syrup, nice sparkle, 2-finger frothy head, fair retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malt, dark fruit. Taste is toffee, sweet malt, dark fruit, spice. Mouthfeel is fairly thin, smooth, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, true to style with some complexity.

Can from the Packie Dark brown with faint garnet edges and a bubbly frothy off white head that slowly recedes. Toasty bready light caramel maltiness. Earthy spicy hops and light fruit. Not too bad.
