Can (10/7/20) pour from a trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! Appearance is opaque black (dark brown at the bottom of the glass) with a few light floaties, light sparkle, finger-width foamy khaki head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong, bittersweet coffee, dark chocolate (chocolate-covered espresso bean), vanilla. Taste follows aroma with addition of creamy lactose. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick, silky texture, soft carbonation and more sweet than bitter finish. Overall, my first stout from Spyglass. They don't just make good IPA's...

Can from the source. Dark brown bordering on black with a thin barely tan head that slowly recedes. Huge peppery coffee bean on the nose with a hint of brown sugar. Sweet earthy roasty toasty beans flavor. Smooth and tasty.
