Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark yellow-gold color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweetish with fruity hops and yeast. The flavor was bitter, dry and yeasty with perfumey and fruity hops. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Tap source. High hopes for this since I am an expert in pale lagers. Clear pale. Mild lager smell. Taste has a little more personality than expected, probably should be in the premium lager category. Even so, its not over the top and is on par with many pale lagers that have more personality. Still remains a pale lager near the end. Good co2 to the finish. Good stuff, but not as reserved or refined as most of the pale lagers examples out there. Actually, the spoonwood working class may be more like a real macro pale lager in drinkability.
