Tap, bocktown, nice place. This brew is certainly a dunkel, if not perhaps a little personality than your typical mild dunkel. I like dunkel and this is a good example of the style. Now, the pumpkin, yes there is a little pumpkin in there but it lacks the typical pumpy spices and I am glad. So tired of pumpkin spices. This brew seems to have real pumpkin in there without being bullshit in yer face spiced. Good job, I hope they didn’t fool me into thinking there is no real pumpkin in there, because it does seem like the real thing! Look, I don’t like pumpkin beers in geb=nearl, but I thinkd this stuff has promise, good job!

Sampled on draft at Independent Brewing this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a large fluffy tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with a hint of smoke and moderately strong bread and wood notes. The flavor was bitter and roasty with notes of dark fruit, bread crust, rye, smoke and wood. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.
