Overall this is probably one of the better, less in yer face, impy stouts I’ve had. So many times impy stouts want to bowl you over but, this is just out to give you a positive impression. Decent brew from the start. Big & black. Looks like it’s large and in charge. Sweeter mild chocolate aroma. Black coffee taste fer sure from the start. This is followed by a bitter dark chocolate flavor that is not like the typical smack you alky feel, a little better than that. It’s not astringent and its fresh. Yes, a milder impression for such a heavy duty alky content. Decent co2 continues and makes this brew acceptable. Quite drink-able in the end. Over all, a not bad impy stout and I very much dislike impy stouts.
