Brown with a red hue and a large foamy head. Malty and sweetish, a touch astringent and perfumey. Long finish. Medium body.

Over the years after tasting so many oktoberfest beers, I’ve come to not expect much. Most are just over alkied marzens with too much personality. This stuff is not. it reminds me of the mild friendly octoberfest beers of the past. I find it to be right up there with my best octoberfest beers like Climax Hoffmann Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märzen, Voodoo The James Brown, Sprague Farm Spraguer Logger & Schell Octoberfest. The overall experience is fun and easy. Has just a tad of bitterness that at least lets you know you are drinken beer. Yes, one of the better fest beers in memory. Very civilized finish as well. Nice job, well balanced beer fun.
