I hate rating local beers that come across rather rude. I like almost all of what these guys make, but this one needs something, JMHO. Difficult band-aid with alky aroma. Cloudy light brownish amber color. Taste is over the top in personality, astringent major sucking on plasstic elastic band-aid flavors. Quite difficult, and uncivilized, I’d be scared to age this one, do you think it would get rid of the plastic? Probably should be styled as a simple american strong ale. Could not be in the same category as the refined De Garde Petit Desay, Tired Hands HandFarm, Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere or Crooked Stave Surette Provision Saison. So difficult to finish, yes it is, can barely do it. You guys will probably love this over the top higher alky coarse american strong ale. Perhaps it was just a bad batch, will try again in the future.
