Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk's place. Thanks kerenmk. Black. Lots of coffee, slightly "green", some mocha, a bit of vanilla, roast, a bit sweetish, caramel, sourish touch, bitterish finish, medium-bodied. Nice.

(Draught at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 25 Nov 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, vanilla, roasted nuts and a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, with a certain vanilla sweetness. Really tasty, with lots of coffee and vanilla. Very nice.

Tap at the Freehouse, Singapore. Poured a clear dark brown with a big frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, vanilla, coffee, lactose, sweet chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich, slightly oily roasty malt, sweet chocolate, light floral aniseed hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

8 4 8 4 16 Bottle shared at THT January (Platypus Edition). Black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, coconut notes, milk chocolate and lactose. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Dark brown pour with a tall tan head that gives way to a thin lacing. Notes of roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa nibs. Light and easy to drink, the adjuncts well integrated into the beer. Medium body and carbonation, smooth-ish texture and a roasty bitter-sweet finish.

330ml bottle from Brewdog.com. BBE 30/12/??. Pours pitch black with a smooth light brown head. Nice aroma of vanilla, coffee, roasty malts, chocolate, mocha, espresso and cocoa. Taste is sweetish, slightly roasty and ashy with loads of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, cocoa and hints of herbal hops. Finish is sweetish and smooth with some roastiness, loads of vanilla, cocoa and chocolate. A bit of a vanilla overdose.
