Bottle backlog May 2014. Black body with a medium sized, dense beige head. Aroma spoiled by cooked vegetables. Flavor goes in the same direction. This is not right – note to myself: get another bottle and re-rate.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very dark brown. Earthy nose with notes of prunes. Mid dry with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, figs and earth. Mid bitter finish. Deep and rich, yet not heavy.

Bottled (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is liquorice, ashes, some toffee and mild herbal notes. Flavour is ripe fruits, mild ashes, some coffee as well as some herbal notes. Balanced, but a bit too simplistic.

Godt håndverk som treffer stilen, men uten at den skiller seg ut ifra mengden.

Sample at Bergen Ølfestival 2014. Black with a small tan head. Light roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee. Nothing special with this one but an ok one. The finish was dry and quite bitter.

Bottle. A clear-looking dark brown to black beer topped by a dense, diminishing, beige head. The aroma is roasted with lots of dark chocolate. Some coffee and a faint touch of licorice as well. It’s roasted on the palate, too, with the same level of coffee and dark chocolate. Some herbal notes in the back, and a decent bitterness. Quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting roasted finish. Pretty pleasant this one, but far from world class. 140709
