(Can) clear, bright, dark reddish brown color with a medium tall cream colored head; aroma of buckwheat honey, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish; somewhat soft palate

16 ounce can. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. A big malty nose, coffee and pecan. Rich, smooth, some decent pine hops, coffee, rich toast, a bit of chocolate. Very smooth. Excellent.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. After several Matchless hop forward brews, it's always fun to remind myself that they can do more than just that. This brew is awesome. A hybrid of several styles I'd say, as each sip seems to bring out a note from a different style, and done well. Jet black appearance, with a rocky, active tan fizz head. Good roast, bold flavor, over a cream, chocolate middle. Malt bomb for sure, but the hops are there. Such a smooth porter. Or brown ale. Or English. Or Imperial India session pale dark chocolate English brown ale. Whatever it is, it's damn good.

That's a roasty porter! Not too thin, hints of chocolate on the back, pretty dry.
