Frisch blumig hopfiger Antrunk, mittelstarke Bitterkeit. 7/9/9/8/8/8

600 ml bottle. Pour gold with moderate head. Aromas of citrus and sweet toffee. Flavors of tropical fruit, citrus, popcorn and light toffee. Hard to say but something is missing making the end result thinner and flatter than I expected.

600ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Unspecific fruity, hoppy aroma, maybe some gooseberry, hints of straw, a grainy touch. Taste is dry, fruity hoppy, strawy, slightly grainy, gooseberry again. The grainy, strawy, gooseberry-mixture makes this an APA with resemblance to a Bitter.

4oz pour at Churchkey’s Bells event during DC Beer Week 2013. Pours a hazy orange with some lacing white head. Nose of canned tomatos, celery seed, orange, pickle relish. Tastes like something you’d put on a hot dog, relish, cinnamon, tomato. Weird finish. Something was way off.

Draft @ Delirium.

Single from a local IGA. Pours a golden colour with an amber hue. The head is huge, frothy (almost creamy), white, with great retention and lots of dirty and sticky lacing. The aroma is kind of special with your typical APA hops (herbal, citrus) but with a weird twist - Onion poppyseed bagel notes. Yes, hard to explain, and not offensive... just different. Seems to come from the malts. The malt does come out a little more in the taste. Still, a little watery overall, with some medium bitterness and a mild dry finish. Not bad, beautiful bottle, but a little unbalanced.

Bouteille 600ml. Carbonation faible voir absente, corps faible, aqueuse. Déception.

Ok pale ale with what initially tastes like a very light dose of Brett and fades after a few sips. Maybe it was my imagination. In any, case hops is pretty light here and not much bitterness. Pours slightly cloudy golden. Nice lacing and some head. Touch of sourness in follow through. And yes I’m thinking it’s Brett again. Tap at volos.

On tap at Hivern’ale 2013 in Gatineau. Aroma: American hops are doing the job here; very citrus with lemon, grapefruit and pepper notes. Appearance: Hazy with large creamy head and nice lacing. Taste; Again very citrus and peppery with a strong and sustained bitterness. Excellent APA
