10 ounce tulip at the Barrel Bar - mostly black pour with a well-sustained tan lace - nose is rich dark fruit and deep, oaky notes of port - soft texture, medium body - sweet, but with tempering spiciness throughout - the port adds a complex underlying tannic character and mild warming alcohol - a lot of undercurrents of currants and blackberries - finish is lovely and warming without being boozy - this oneβs a winner.
