Bottle looks good, beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts heavy malty, very smokey, notes of bacon bitter background. Finish only with smokey-malty notes. Almost a bit too much.

50cl bottle from superbrugsen enghavevej. pitch dark, light brown head. aroma of roasted malts and hints of charchoal smoke. good strength in the aroma, and just right balance between sweet and dry. Suits the smoked notes very well. flavor is roasted malts, sweet roasted malts, faint but distinct charchoal smoed note, that builds up in the aftertaste, Not so hoppy as many other modern porters, but there is ample bitterness to make the beer taste very good. For a supermarket beer, this is a steal.

500 ml bottle. Clear dark amber body with a big, creamy beige head. Nice aroma with lots of smoked malt, peat and some caramel. Flavor is sweet, dark, roasted malt, smoke, peat and some dark, bitter chocolate. Fine body and smoke/peated aftertaste. Not really complex, it’s mostly about smoke and peat, but its damn solid stuff if you enjoy some smoked ale.

Bottle. A clear-looking dark brown beer with a small, dense, beige head. Peated nose with roasted malts, chocolate hints, coffee and some dried fruits. Peated in the mouth, dryish and full-bodied, with a tad too much carbonation. Coffee, caramel and some dark bitter chocolate. Lasting finish. Too sweet and a bit messy this one, going in too many directions. 141025
