(Tap) clear, very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of roast, nuts; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
Sample at the Burlingame brewpub. Brownish-black pour with a medium tan head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Light-bodied with a roasted character and flavors of sweet malt, coffee and a touch of hops. The finish is dry with a roast malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
