Gypsy Lager is a Munich-style Helles brewed in the tradition of great German Lagers. Munich and Vienna malts provide a honeyed backbone that is contrasted with the clean bitterness of Perle Hops. The result is a crisp and refreshing beer.

Bottle from Oddbins. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of boiled broccoli, metal and soggy cornflakes. Flavour of mushy pear, sour grain and a trace of hop bitterness. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Very unpleasant.

355ml bottle. Appearance - nice gentle bubbles with next to no head. Golden amber. Nose - honey malt. Taste - more honeyed malt. Slightest citrus note. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - not offensive but if it’s going to be a lager it should be more refreshing.
