Unquestionably, the Dry Irish Stout is the most consumed dark beer in the world. The use of beer gas, a nitrogen/Co2 blend, creates a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel which works perfectly with the roasted malt flavor. Pairs well with red meat, soft/mild cheeses, and chocolate.

Sample at the brewpub: Brownish-black color with a craggy medium beige head. Patchy lacing. Roasted malt and espresso aroma. Medium-bodied and slick on the tongue with toasted malt and coffee flavors, along with a solid hops presence. The finish is dry and roasty with a nice coffee aftertaste. Pretty good.

draft - Pours dark brown to black with an average, long lasting head. The aroma of roast malts was fairly light. They came through much stronger in the flavor, but had a pretty good hops balance. Overall this is a pretty good effort.
