Clear orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Malt, hops and caramel in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of grainy malt, earthy hop and caramel. The finish is mildly bitter up front with a malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

tap - Pours a copper color with a moderate, long lasting head that leaves some nice lacing. The aroma is of hops, though surprisingly faint, which seems to be common with Mad Anthony beers. Besides the name, I really thought this had the hop character of an IPA, so I’m not sure why it’s classified as an English Pale Ale. But anyway. it has the typical hoppy IPA finish and is a solid, though not great, brew.
