Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is rye bready, some floral, honeyish and mild toffeeish tones. Flavour is honey, some sweet malts, spices and mild alcohol to it as well. A bunch of alcohol, but still ends up with a quite thin palate.

Smell of malt, nuts. Cloudy brown colour, high beige head. Aroma of cognac, oak, alcohol, sugar, some nuts in finish. Also a faint of honey. Very sweet. Oily thick texture, very heavy body. Lively soft carbon.

33cl bottle. Bbe 21/11. Poured mahogany color with a thick off white head. Rye, liquid bread, molasses, malts, sweetness. Pretty sweet actually, bready, malty, got some honey in there as well. Sweetness overruns pretty much everything here.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web)
Deep ruby color, small beige head and some lace. Aroma has honey and caramel, a bit berryish too. Medium to full-bodied. Caramel, berries, oak is quite light there, rye lurking in the background. Does not feel very alcoholic. Quite simple, sweet and berryish barley wine, which needs more depth or more hops.

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has dark and sweet fruits, dry sour bread, some earthyness and yeast, also some alcohol. Messy. Taste has sdried fruitness, that is over riped if it’s even possible, musty yeast and earthyness, sweet. Almost full bodied, low carbonation. Totally messy and weird beer as a bad way.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - brew 40 - BBE 07/2019, from Alko Arkadia, 20151010) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma malts, sweetness, banana and pear. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, ripe bananas, plum and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, sweet and bitter. A promising barley wine the aging of which might cut the excessive sweetness nicely.
