From the middle ages until the beginning of the 19th century the making of wheat beers was the duke's monopoly in Bavaria. Wheat beers contain at least 50% of wheat malt. The taste of wheat beers is softer, the bitterness of the hops is less dominant. The traditional bavarian wheat beer has more variants. The simple filtered or unfiltered version is an ideal choice during summer due to it's citric freshness, while the darker, sweeter wheat bock beers are popular during autumn and winter.

Rizmajer's unfiltered wheat beer has the colour of the honey opalescent from the beer yeast and has a rich foam. It's smell is dominated by clove, banana and ananas.
