Wintery visions of snow covered evergreen trees come to mind whilst sipping on this crisp lager. Spruce tips are the bright green new growth on the ends of the trees branches that are known for their piney-citrus flavor and are high in Vitamin C. We had these tips plucked from the wilds of Montana for use in this once-a-year seasonal beer. We used a neutral, slightly sweet malt bill as a backdrop for the piney flavors as well as some complimentary Cascade and Simcoe hops. BRRRRR!!!! But also yum!

On tap @Red Bear. Dull, almost clear, medium amber pour. Sweet, caramel, veg-menthol, banana ester nose. Super sweet, caramelized, clove, creme. Feels like an aged keg by how smooth & toffee-ish it is. Messy & holiday inspired. Not loving it.

16oz crowler pours a clear amber with some cloudy white head.  Nose has spruce and malt and some stone fruit.  Flavors surprisingly nice, malt and some stone fruits, spruce tips are green and add a brightness.  Very well balanced.  7 3 7 4 13
