Bottle @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours murky dark straw with a lot of sediment and small off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and malt, with some hoppy notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with fruity touches and notes of citrus. Bitter and acidic aftertaste. Hints of juniper. Aggressive carbonation. Not that bad.

Flaske 0,33l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Batch 77. Gyldenbrun med et middels høyt skum som holder seg en stund og etterlater tett lacing. Aroma av gjær med litt sitrus. Smaken er overmoden appelsin som blir litt tørr etter hvert.

Bottle. An unclear, dark orange colored beer with some floaties. A dense, off-white head on top. Sort of foresty and yeasty in the aroma and flavor. Oranges and a spiced touch too. It’s quite dry on the palate, medium bodied and a bit hard on the carbonation. Orange peel and a faint spiced touch as well, finishing quite bitter. Well, it’s a drinkable one indeed, but the flavors and aromas doesn’t suit my palate, don’t see myself buying it again. 140417

0.33l bottle from #77 shared with The Tasting Crew. Well, it looks like it should, at least initially with a really cloudy almost hazy looking dark orange body under a medium sized but fading just off-white head. The nose is a bit strange but it's definitely a heffe! Lots of sweetness in firm of both banana and yeast. It's also a tad more hoppy than your usual heffe. Smells nice. Oh, it's lacking sweetness for sure. Quite dry and again yeasty. It has this gliding feeling in the mouth and it's just below average on the small bubbled carbonation. Tastes quite fresh, not to typical for the genre but again this is no typical wheat. Minerallish finish in the dry finish and aftertaste. You do get a light hint of juniper berries in the end, but I probably wouldn't notice it if I hadn't known it. 19.02.2014
