Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6.5
Draft at Cellarmaker. The beer is very dark brown, nearly black. Small khaki head with nitro fine bubbles, sorta fizzy though. Odd aroma. Fairly strong caramel with a little bit of an odd buttery flavor, maybe it’s just a coconut flavor or something though. Lots of fruitiness, most is roasty. Blackberry, plum, raspberry. Tangy taste on top of caramel sweetness. More of a sour than a porter but the combination kinda clashes for me. Light to medium body. A touch of slickness. Not bad but not my preference.
