We like to blur the lines of style guidelines here a bit so we gave what would be a typical American pale ale, hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe, a generous dose of New Zealand Riwaka hops. The resulting brew is bright, piney, and resinous with a tropical and grapey edge from the Riwaka. At 2.5lbs of hops per barrel, It seems we just can't control ourselves!

The beer is light tannish orange and hazy. Medium sized head, white. Lots of lacing. The aroma is juicy with a mix of fruity hop flavors. Peach, tangerine honeysuckle, pineapple, papaya, grapes. Just a tiny bit of crackery malt character in the background. Mild to moderate bitterness. Quite dry. Nice and crisp and light on the palate. Good hop flavor but there’s a bit of a peppery, grassy edge to it. A little hop oiliness to the feel. Very easy to drink. Yet another good pale ale from Cellarmaker.
