This International Pale Ale features the rare and uncommon Riwaka hop from New Zealand. The zesty mandarin character of the Riwaka is supported by a melange of American hops: Chinook, Centennial and Mosaic. Notes of passionfruit, pineapple, lychee and dark berries with biscuity malt to back it all up. Juicy, fruity and different from your average American Pale Ale.

The beer is pale, a bright yellow gold color with a fair bit of haze. The head is white and thick. Lots of lacing. Really, really nice aroma. It’s juicy and full of hop flavor. Huge tangerine sweetness. Big on pineapple with a danker piney twist. A little bit of lime peel, mild peach, blackberries, honeysuckle. It’s bright and fresh. Mild, fresh pale malt background. The taste is moderately bitter, dry and packs plenty of hoppiness. Gentle malt sweetness holding up the hops. Lots of hop fruitiness. Very easy to drink. Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Some hop oiliness. Hard to put down. This is an excellent pale ale and shows off Cellarmaker’s expertise in making light, hoppy beer.
