Here at Cellarmaker we enjoy blending American and New Zealand hops to create a modern and fresh hop experience. Rude Boy features a New Zealand hop that is new to us called Dr. Rudi. It has a stonefruit and sweet blackberry aroma. Team that up with the tropical, pine, citrus elements of Simcoe and Amarillo and you have a classic character with a twist.

The beer is pale yellow and moderately cloudy. Big white head. The aroma is big on sweet tropical fruit. Pineapple, mango, grape. Cracker pale malt character. It’s a little on the mild side, but that’s not really bad. Taste is dry, light and full of hops. Mild bitterness. Lots of tropical fruit. Very mild malt. The finish dries out quite a bit. Light mouthfeel. Very easy to drink. Good stuff.
