Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of elderflowers, roasted malt, and mint. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and mint, as well as lighter notes of chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish, where the mint note lingers.

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a tiny beige head dissipating pretty fast - eaten by the mint? The nose is completely dominated by mint - completely overpowering the roastiness. Medium body, roasty while the peppermint now appears somewhat medicinal leaving an impression of not so pleasant cough syrup. Some bitterness. Drinkable but not exactly a favourite. 211012

Black with no head. Aroma of peppermint, tea, licorice and chocolate. Strong peppermint and chocolate flavour. Certainly lives up to the name, but it’s very one-dimensional.
