0.75l bottle, shared with David, Sima @ nonna Rosa. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and wood. Pours pitch black color with thin creamy light brown head and fair lacing. Taste starts sweet and rich roasted malt and chocolate, following is nutty and ashy, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, thick syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Brutal assault on my brain cells…

pours pitch black with a thick viscocity brown head 4/5
smooth velvely aroma, booze and wood, tons of roasted malts, but very balanced and gentle, 9/10
flavor is strong roasted malty, licorice, wood, faint caramel, faint cake frosting, bourbon, alc is well hidden but strong, works fine with the heavy dose of roasted malts,
aftertaste is not as intense as i had hoped for, but everything before the aftertaste is very intense while still being very smooth and blended.
i think this double black mash is above average for the series. 8/10
pal 4/10
ov 17/10
