From March of 2011, reviewed from notes and at the brewpub.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light lacing sticking around the sides of the glass.
The smell had a decent sweet honey to it and some light piney hops.
The taste was mainly the same with a light grassiness that was probably the sage.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style as it had a good sharpness but wasn’t anything overly done.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good APA well worthy of having again.

tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours light amber-orange with a lingering head. The aroma has plenty of hops with some citrus notes. The flavor is of moderately strong hops with citrus and herbal character. It’s medium bodied and quite tasty.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light amber color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of sage and citrus. The taste is big sage notes, earthy hops and a faint citrus finish. Medium bodied. Interesting. Nice. Good think I like sage.

On tap at HopCat. Hazy straw body, medium off-white head. Big sage nose. Creamy body with strong sage notes, backed by dry, toasty malts. I wouldn’t necessarily want to drink an entire pint, but a few ounces was enjoyable and interesting.

On tap at MBG Summer Festival. Poured a hazy amber gold with white head. Aroma consisted of pine and sage notes. The flavor started piney with sage but became more of a citrus and sage combination. It was an interesting and fun beer.
