sampled at the Indiana winterfest - Pours black with a minimal tan head. It smells of chocolate and dark roast malt. The flavor is roast chocolate malt with fresh resinous hops. Medium to full body. Solid brew.

Sampled at the 2010 Indiana Winterfest. Poured black with a brown head. Aroma had notes of roasted malts and coffee with a touch of chocolate. Flavor was more just the coffee and roasted malt notes a perhaps a hint of underlying oak.

As part of a sampler at the Broad Ripple Brewpub. Cask ale, no real head, very interesting taste, very smoky with chocolate notes. Nothing to write home about, but enjoyable nonetheless.
