Sample at the brewpub (as "Vienna"). The beer is a clear dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and fruit. Light body with a sweet malty character with notes of ripe fruit and nuts. The finish is clean and malty with a sweet aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours red and smells of caramel malt. I thought the flavor was quite similar to their red ale. It’s mainly just caramel malt and some mild to moderate hops. It’s pleasantly crisp on the palate and quaffable.
