Une robe d’un noir profond, une mousse chamois crémeuse…pas de doute, c’est bien une Stout. Une pétillance subtile, un nez sur le cacao, torréfié, végétal. Attaque très souple, bière ronde et épaisse malgré le peu d’alcool. Arômes francs de café/cacao sans dureté. Notes plus végétales allant du zan à des arômes plus sombre (terre/humus). Amertume équilibrée et légèrement végétale. EBC 82.

Bottled 330ml. -from La Cave à Bulles, Paris. Black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate nose. Roasted malt, roasted coffee and dark chocolate with light notes of wood in the finish. Lack of alcohol and body is noticable but all in all nice stout.

Bottle. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, medium dry, little sweet, hops, bitter and slightly acid.

Tasting at Papsø
Black color: big head, beige. Aroma of buckwheat, yeast, coffee. Sweetish caramel and rhubarb candies flavor, with late chocolate, and drier finish; low bitterness. Drinkable.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate and slight acidic. Roasted malt flavoured, dark chocolate, smooth vanilla yet also slight acidic and chemical to ashtray like. Dark roasted malt finish.

Bottled. An almost opaque dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, wood, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and wood, leading to a very dry roasted finish. The body is light.

Dark brown with red glimts and a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, coffee and ashy notes. Flavour had burned malt, espresso, hops and ashy notes. Finished dry.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours black with a reddish hue and a small light brown head. Aroma has hard roasted malts, vanilla and a whiff of tar. Medium body, hard roasted malts, overripe dark fruits and a little vanilla. A subdued malt bitterness in the finish. Quite decent. 030410
