Bottle from somewhere in France. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet malt, creamy caramel, light smoke. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light roasty malt, light liqourice bitter palate and a light smoky finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Fonefan 300814. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sourness, roasted malt, coffee. Flavour is sourness, coffee, roasted malt, hop, chocolate. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle 330ml. @ The Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2014, TSODRBSG14. [ As Philomenn Stout ].Clear dark brown color with a average to large, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, ash, burnt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140830]

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering, 2014. Pours dark ruby brown with a small beige head and lacings. Paperbag, brown paperbag without any O’E inside. Dusty with notes of cocoa and christmas calendar chocolate.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and a little coffee. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 300814

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, licorice and hops. Semi high carbonation.

Pours dark reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and hint of coffee. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A clear-looking dark brown beer topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is roasted, almost burnt, with a touch of prunes and figs. Bready hints too. It’s full to medium bodied with a soft carbonation level. quite dry on the palate. The flavor has the same roasted, burnt maltyness and dried fruits, with a little hoppy bitterness in the end. Rather boring and one-dimensional this one, but decent anyway. 140830

Bottled, from Bières Cultes, Paris. Near black, rich beige head. Aroma of coffee and licorice. Dry and spicy, a bit grainy with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Growing mild bitterness. Nice!
