Limited edition bottle in a fancy box, purchased in rocky mountian house, alberta. Dark brown pour, with a small beige head. Super sweet aroma, with loads of smoke. Some soy, some bacon, and some odd smoked salmon also. The maple surup, just seems to make this way too sweet, and cloying. The finish is again, quite smoky, and the wood and oak barrel come through there. They add some wood to the finish, but the cloying sweetness mixed with the intense smoke just detracts. This is a mess of a beer.

Dark brown color. The malt is decent, nutty, toffeish, light smoke, moderately sweet, with very low bitterness. Ok beer.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark dull amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of fart, maple syrup and light smoke. Flavour is thankfully a touch of better, with smoke, maple syrup and a touch of farty funk. Very simple, with high residual sweetness. Not very impressive.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Clear, medium chestnut brown with off-white head. Aroma has the usual I&G oak and vanilla plus just a little bit of added smoked malt. Flavour very similar, the smoke comes out more in the finish, but it seems like they were way too safe with the amount of smoke they used because it is quite weak. I’d rather just have the original.

Pours dark copper with a fading head.Nose shows light smoke, vanilla oak notes, soft coconut and bourbon. Actually quite good!Flavours pretty much perfectly mirror the flavours, with more smoke, vanilla and bourbon as well as copious amounts of sweet toffee and caramel.Carbonation could be higher.
