Bottled. Hazy pale copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweetmalts, some toffee, vanilla, wood, mild ripe and dried fruits as well as some alcohol. Flavour is sweet malts, alcohol, toffee, wood, mild herbs, ripe fruits and some sugary notes.

Tasted from the tap on the 05/02/2017. Dark ruby amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, oak wood and dried fruits. Taste has some caramel, dried fruits and sweet malts. Next one please!

Draught @ Flakhaven, Odense. Pours dark brown with a small creamy offwhite head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, wood, alcohol. Flavor is sweet, rich malty, caramel, wood, dried fruit, alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet finish with lots of warming alcohol. 251116

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy, dep amber with an off-white head. A little rough oaky aroma atop the caramel. Rich body, again very woody but without the vanilla smoothness of a Bourbon barrel - this is oak chips, right? Caramel notes. Some late alcohol burn. Decent if not exactly sophisticated. 111214

Fra flaske på Cardinal, M2 sep-14: uklar gylden med filmskum. Intens aroma av honning, vanilje, eik, fiken og molter. Vinøs og elegant. En nytelse for oss som liker barley wines. Varmer helt ned i tærne.
