"Go big or go home". Jänkare är kända för att göra allting lite större än andra. Men när det gäller Barley Wine så brukar dom göra "lite mindre" öl än i Europa. Så när Mohawk skulle göra en amerikansk Barley Wine bestämde vi att verkligen gå hela vägen. Det här är en stor öl fullproppad med malt och humle. Precis som det skall vara "The American Way".

330ml Bottle - A rich amber colour. Syrup, sultanas and dried apricot in the aroma. Malty, fruity and fairly rich taste with notes of toffee, raisins, sultanas and nuts.

Bottle, Systembolaget. Clear amber with a small head. The aroma was sweet with malt, strawberry jam, some light hops and notes of alcohol. The taste was similar. The finish was quite long with warming alcohol. Not bad but not as hoppy as expexted.

From tap. Pours golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and caramelish. Sweet, malty and caramelish. Light fruity. Lingering sweet and caramelish finish. Toasted malty and light fruity finish. Ends bitter and toasted malty.

Draft. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, hops, alcohol, and butterscotch, leading to a bitter finish.

Draught at the All In Beer Fest, on November 2, 2013.Clear dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty, alcohol taste. Alcohol and fruity aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
