Imperial stout aged in 13-year Seagram’s whiskey barrels for 18-months, and then conditioned on toasted pecans, very special Australian vanilla beans and just a few cinnamon sticks to make this stout taste like a pecan pie

500 ml bottle from AE, 1/10/24. Dark brown color with almost no head. Roast, whiskey, wood, vanilla, and nuts. Some candied sugar notes. Dark chocolate. Finishes on a more toffee, vanilla, and pecan thing. Not getting much of the cinnamon, but otherwise it is pretty much as described. Balanced up-front with a sweet and flavorful finish. Drinks thick and creamy. Very smooth. Soft, almost flat carbonation. Very rich, rather sweet, very flavorful stuff. Pretty much no ABV burn on this one, which clocks in at a (somewhat low for the style, but still high overall) 10.4%. Not much too complain about here, all the flavors work nicely.
