27/12/2022. Bottle at the ITFC Christmas beer share. From nanababa. Malawi rating #5. Pours clear pale gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, lemon, grass, touch of herb. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, touch tart. Light body, watery and oily, fizzy. Fair.

330ml bottle [at 4.2% abv, courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Opalescent, orange, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy, minimally musty, pale malty aroma, hints of wet straw, maize, a weak, ephemerous touch of horse dung. Taste is watery and grainy, minimally pale malty, sweet-ish hints of maize. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Initially a bit musty, later relatively clean and fairly refreshing - not the worst Pale Lager on the continent.

Bottle from Peoples, Chitakale. Clear golden body with a short-lived white head. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, teaspoon and Ricicles cereal. Flavour of papery malt and grass. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. The hops are just about detectable. Bland but drinkable.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Carlsberg Malawi Chill ].Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, citrus, corn, light grass - silage. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, corn, sweet malt, silage. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20140217]

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, grainy and grass. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. Very watery. Virtually no bitterness at all. 170214
