Bottle, at Cardinal. An almost black one, topped by a finger-thick, dense, tan head leaving curtains. The aroma has salty licorice, some bonfire and burnt malts. Hints of coffee. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and quite sweet, with flavors of licorice and some coffee and bonfire. A light malt bitterness too. Nice carbonation. Lasting roasted finish with molasses, licorice and a touch of bonfire. Quite nice this one, although a tad one dimensional. 141101
