Our black barleywine, in a brandy barrel, packed with amazing dried Christmas fruit. This is probably the most decadent of the black barleywine series to date (no pun intended).

Late go at this Christmas gift from the brethren. Dark. A murky brown in the light. Thin layer of beige bubbles. Aroma is fruity, seeet. The rum compliments. Molasses and dough. There's an initial shstp edge. Berries and booze. This is followed by a smooth sweet current. Dsrk ruit, molasses and dough. An underlying bitterness is more evident into the finish. Thick bodied. Oily. Flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. A rich smooth with forms an effective partnership with the rum barely it's been ruminating in.
