Cask @ Cloisters, 26 Brougham St, Edinburgh, Scotland EH3 9JH. [ As Elixir Sugar Lumps: The Revenge ].Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy earthy - bonfire, chili fruit sweet, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chili warm, smokey, bonfire. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20140316]

Cask at Cloisters. Pours very dark brown, near black, thick tan head. Big smoke on the aromas, some dark cooked sugar too. Taste has dark chocolate at first, then smoke, then a fiery kick that keeps on giving. Slightly overwhelming heat, but subsides at the end to a nice smokey finish. Good stuff.
