Nytes Best:
- Til grillet rødt kjøtt

- Som en mørk forfriskning

0.33 l bottle brought by Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran from Oslo. Murky dark brown, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, herbs, leaves, spices. Nice. Roasty and hoppy balance. Drinkable, nice balance, soft carbonation, light to moderate finish.

Keg at HL3, 15/09/17. Light Coca Cola black with a decent tan head. Nose is light roast, ashen, charr, red berry whisper, cocoa powder. Taste comprises raisins, toffee, light pine, dusty, charr, mellow roast, chocolate sprinkle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, almost plum, with whitish foam, relatively fine. Aroma is resinous, slightly herbaceous, malty and roasted. Body is fairly dense, with moderate carbonation, a bit of stickiness. Taste has both moderate sweetness and bitterness, the toasted feeling going on all the time. Finish is relatively standard.

330ml bottle @ Svingen Bar, Beitostolen. Pours black, frothy tan head. Aroma is roasty with a good hop presence. Taste is exceptionally well balanced with rich, layered malts and a sharp hop bites. Good bitterness with shades of liquorice, coffee and roast coming into play. Very good Black IPA this.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 135 - BB 06.01.18, at Bar Molotow, 20161008) The beer black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweetness, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A mediocre black IPA. Too burnt.

Eric the Red, Moscow: pours murky dark brown with a light beige head. Aroma is roast, light citrus, and chocolate. Taste is lightly bitter. More of a porter than a black IPA. Light roasty and hoppy aftertaste. Not blown away.

Many thanks to Nisse666 for this bottle! Smooth and mild beginning. Malty with lots of fresh floralness. Fruity flowers, not too much resin, round with not too much dry bitterness. Coffee caramel, round and smooth. Caramel malt in the body, the flowers are a bit behind, the aftertaste is full but malty with not too much bitterness. Interesting Black IPA.
