Honestly I don't know what an Italian style pilz is, other than some attempt to replicate Peroni - but for what purpose would anyone do that? Either way this is light years better than Peroni. This has a nice clean and light bready-doughy malt, manages to be light bodied but tastes as an all-malt lager. Light grassy and spicy hops, medium bitter finish. Highly drinkable. Clean overall profile. This vaguely reminds me of that old 3 Stooges beer, the Curly's lager, which was a light all-malt lager that used to be brewed up in PA over 20 years ago. This is outstanding.

Can at Free the Whales. Pours a hazy yellow gold with large white head that lasts. The aroma is straw, dough, pepper, wheat. Slick body, grass, straw, light crisp finish, very good.

Noble hops and decent malt. Good flavour, decent body. Hazy golden pour with decent head. Crisp finish. Can.

Can at home from regency. Handsome can design. Deep gold pour and nice frothy head. Nose is light spices and citrus. Tastes of oregano, pepper, basil, touch of orange peel, lemon, and grass. Zippy and nice palate. Easy drinking. Delicate flavor profile.
